On Monday, September 29th, Dr. Don Stewart, an Alabama artist from Homewood, Ala., visited the Banks Primary School 3rd Graders. During the summer, Mrs. Flowers and Mrs. Smith, 3rd grade teachers, Mrs. McKenney, resource teacher, and Mrs. Dillard, librarian, attended the ArtBridges Workhop sponsored by the Johnson Center for the Arts this summer. Dr. Stewart worked with participants to learn how to integrate arts education into other subject areas. As a part of the workshop, we were honored to have Dr. Stewart visit our 3rd grade students and work with them creating one-of-a-kind Monticellos! Slide Show of Dr. Stewart's Visit at BMS & BPS
